For decades CHIRLA has been a safe home for immigrants. Our communities are stronger because we embrace each other as a big family, we welcome immigrants from all over the world, and we open our arms to welcome those that are looking for a better life.  We strive to provide free resources to our community, namely, organizing and conducting programs to fight harmful policies imposed on immigrants, conducting community service projects to promote equity and justice for immigrants and providing legal services to immigrants; and educational services, namely, providing possibilities such as a learning center focused on providing education related to charitable services to promote equity and justice for immigrants and providing legal services to immigrants."

Today I have some wonderful news to share with you. As our family grows, so does our need, that is why we have decided to embark on our biggest challenge to date.    We have launched the I Welcome Immigrants Campaign, which seeks to raise $65 million dollars.

Our new headquarters will allow CHIRLA to expand essential programs in organizing, free and low-cost legal services, community education and civic engagement while creating new and innovative services. With your support the possibilities are boundless.   Together we can make the chant you have heard in the streets “Immigrants and Refugees are Welcome Here!” a reality for decades to come.

With Gratitude,
Angelica Salas
